Unfinished Business
The Milesplitmass crew was on location last week in Dedham at Ursuline Academy for this weeks "Workout of the Week". We captured the Ursuline Academy team as Coach Tom Shaw ran his team through a tough hill workout in preparation for last weekends Northfield Mountain race. We would like to thank Coach Shaw and his team, as well as a fantastic production job by Steve Infascelli.
The Ursuline Academy Cross-Country program has taken off under Head Coach Tom Shaw's leadership. The Catholic Conference has been ruled by Notre Dame Academy for over 20 years. In 2011 we saw a sign that the NDA dynasty was coming to an end and another powerhouse was starting to emerge, as Ursuline Academy won their first Catholic Conference League Championship Meet.
In 2012 UA is on a roll ! The Bears won the Frank Kelley Invitational, defeated archrival NDA in a dual meet, and yesterday they captured their second straight Catholic Conference Championships. The only thing missing from Coach Shaw's "to-do-list" is a MIAA Division 6 State Championship. After finishing third place in 2011, the Bears have some "Unfinished Business" to take care, but this time they will clearly be one of the favorites.
