WMass Division 1
Boys
This could be a race that mirrors what happened at the PVIAC Championships on Oct. 26 with the top four finishers from that meet at Northfield Mountain this Saturday. Amherst-Pelham junior Jack Yanko, who won the meet with an all-time best of 15:16.70, will lead the charge. Yanko has consistently dipped under 16 minutes this season, running under the mark at the Bay State Invitational, the Harry Geraghty Invitational and the Southern Maine X-C Classic. He will be tough to beat at Wrentham. Springfield's Gabriel Medina (second, 15:43.62), Northampton's Benjamin Gordon Sniffen (third, 15:58.46) and Holyoke's Izaien Lugo (fourth, 16:04.53) will be back again from the PVIAC and once again contend for those top spots. The fifth man could be key in determining the outcome of this one as Northampton and Holyoke match well with each other. There's also Amherst Pelham.
