Umass Invitational: BC Women & UConn Men Take Home Titles Sep 15, 2013

The Umass Invitational took place Saturday on a beautiful fall day in Amherst, Ma. Umass, Vermont, UMaine, Amherst, Uconn, and Boston College all participated in this early season invitational. The coaches got a first glimpse at their teams in action, as they prepare for more intense battles in the weeks ahead.

Cullenberg and Moser Lead Maine to Second Place Finish at UMass Tyler White Sep 15, 2013

AMHERST, Mass.  -- Kelton Cullenberg and Alexander Moser (York Harbor, Maine) placed first and third respectively to lead the University of Maine men's cross country team to a second place finish at UMass on Saturday. UConn won the meet with 63 points, while Maine was second with 69 points. UMass was third with 70 points, followed by BC (85), UVM (90) and Amherst (100). Cullenberg won with a time of 19:15.25, while Moser posted a mark of 19:26.99. Ryan Hardiman (Brookline, Mass.) was Maine's third finisher with a time of 19:41.19. He placed 12th overall. Jarrod Lenfest (Windsor, Maine) was 17th with a time of 19:49.23. Levi Frye (Walpole, Mass.) rounded out the scoring for Maine with a 36th place finish in 20:19.20. Maine next returns to the course when it hosts New Hampshire on Sept. 20 at 3 PM in Orono.  (via www.goblackbears.com)

Big Time Changes For College Freshman ! Sep 14, 2013

Milesplitmass took the show on the road to Western, Massachusetts to cover the Umass Cross Country Invitational. Although we cover a few collegiate Invitationals now and then, our purpose of the trip was to check in on some of our collegiate freshman harriers and to see how they handled there first big test.
