Week in Review #3

Nathan Pierre-Louis of Waltham scorched a US#2 time of 1:21.88 to win the 600m at the Dual County League Indoor Meet #2.  He was helped, and pushed, by Brian Sommers of Acton-Boxborough who finished second with a US#16 time of 1:24.49.

Swardic Mayanja remains the dominant thrower in the state after his 53’2” winning effort in the shot put at the Bay State League Meet #2.  Mayanja leads the state by nearly three feet.

Without a weekend invitational, the coaches had the opportunity to lace-up the spikes and lead by example. Coach Ladd of Lexington took to the indoor oval for the first time in six years and successfully pulled-off the distance double.  He posted a 9:13 for the 3k and a 4:44 mile.  At the same meet - but different section - Aaron Klein of Brookline posted a MA#1 time of 4:23.6 in the mile to finish just behind John Murray and Tom Mullen.

For the second straight week, Jordan O’Dea (Dennis-Yarmouth) opened the ACL Dual Meets with a 5:18 mile.  Two weeks ago she posted a nearly 30 second win over Lauren O’Neil of Falmouth, and this week O’Neil narrowed that gap to roughly 10 seconds.
