Year in and year out, the Eastern Massachusetts region is home to some of the toughest competition in the state. Fall 2016 is shaping up to be no different, as we will be having top squads looking to defend their legacies and new teams out to shake up the establishment. Below you will find a run down on all the teams in the D1 through D3 regions.
DI Team
By now, we are well aware that the boys from Lowell are once again the team to beat this fall. Every year there seems to be chatter about another squad being better or the Red Raiders not being the same team as the previous year. Though when the Lowell boys have won 6 of the last 7 Eastern Mass titles and the past two All-State titles, we're hard pressed to not consider them the favorites in Eastern MA and the state. If they can go and win their 3rd straight All-State this November, Lowell joins the like of Gloucester HS and their unprecedented run from 1994-2000.
Hoping to at least keep it interesting, Lexington boys will rely on their tightly packed 1-5 spread and try to counter the strong 1-2 punch by Lowell. The CR&L squad was hit hard by graduation, but they should be capable of staying within the Top 3 for another year.
