MIAA All State Championship Highlights !

Division 1 Boys Race

The Lowell team just prior to the start of the Division 1 Boys Race

Lucas Taxter from Xaverian pushed the pace for most of the race.

In the end it was Quinn Cooney of Chelmsford who powered his way to victory in a time of 15:44.

The Lowell Red Raiders edged out Cambridge Rindge & Latin for another All State title.

Cambridge Ringe & Latin fell 9 points short of a title, but they do return the top three next season.

Division 2 Boys Race

Nick Carleo of Newburyport took a commanding lead early in the race and held on to victory.

The Hopedale boys team gave Central Mass its first title since 2007,

Newburyport will go down in history as the first team to tie in both the All State Meet and Divisional Meet.

They ended up second place in both tie breakers.

Division 1 Girls Race

A giant packed formed early in the Division 1 girls race.

A three way battle pursued between Cullen of Needham, Richards of Lowell, and Keklak on Lincoln-Sudbury.

In the end it was Kaley Richards of Lowell defend her All State title.

Ariel Keklak came on late in the final stretch, but she fell short of catching the defending champion.

The Needham Rockets defended their title scoring an imressive 58 points.

The Shamrocks of Bishop Feehan were the second best team in Division 1.

Division 2 Girls Race

Erin Dietz controlled the main pack early in the Division 2 girls race.

Nobody could match Dietz on the second mile in the D2 girls race. She ran the third fastest time of the day in 18:19.

Defending champion Olivia Lantz of Manchester Essex finished second place.

The Generals of Hamilton Wenham defended their title in the Division 2 girls race.

The Millionaires of Lenox finished second place in the Division 2 girls race.
