On a cool and windy Saturday morning, the annual Hockomock League Championship Cross Country meet was held at Wrentham Development Center.
Three new teams in the top 25!
As for the team championships, the Wellesley boys ran away with the varsity title (so to speak). Their top five--Ben Matejka, Thomas Weiss, Sam Gilman, Matthew Cervon, and Jamieson Mazzolla--scored an impressive 32 points, with Needham's talented distance team in second with 71 points.
The host Titans exploited pack running and a 5-gap that would make most college coaches turn green with envy to their advantage.
On a cloudy, 47 degree day at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield, MA, a deep cross country field came together to determine the Cape Ann League cross country champion.
In what is sure to be a highly competitive kickstart to the Massachusetts Cross Country postseason, the Bay State Conference will gather this Saturday at Norwood's Coakley Middle School for the annual league meet.

The Dual Meets are pretty much coming to a close and the Championship time of year is just around the corner. Lets take a look at our Top 500 Female 5K times in the database.
