Huskies Win Fifth Straight New England Championship Feb 27, 2010

For the fifth-straight year, the University of Connecticut men's track and field team won the New England Indoor Championship in dominating fashion. The Huskies finished the weekend with 140 points and five first place finishes. UConn outscored their closest opponent, Rhode Island, by 71 points.

Day 1 ResultsThe UMass men's track and field team compiled for a strong showing on day one of the New England Championships, which is being hosted in the state's capital. Out of a competitive field of 24 teams, the Minutemen currently sit in tenth place with nine points. Day two action will see more Minutemen compete, in which each competitor will be looking to add points to the team's total.

Women's Track Competes At Day One Of N.E. Championships Feb 27, 2010

Day One ResultsThe UMass women's track and field team competed at the first day of the New England Championships Friday afternoon. Freshman Nicole Pompei led the Minutewomen while several athletes qualified for day two action in their respective events.
