FITCHBURG — When it came to the girls, deuces were wild at the Central Mass. Track and Field Championships. Westboro's Naloti Palma, Oxford's Emily Dawidczyk, and Wachusett Regional's Amy Collins and Laura Williamson each overcame stiff competition and stifling humidity to win two individual events yesterday at Fitchburg State University. Collins repeated as high jump champion and won the 400-meter dash, while Williamson captured the 800 for the third time in four years and the triple jump. The two then teamed with Meaghan Dowd and Jasmine Cook to win the 1,600 relay and put the finishing touch on the Mountaineers' second straight team title. (via )
