Amanda Henson 11th Grade Barnstable High School
The Junior from Barnstable has had quite a start to the winter season. She started in December by running impressive in both the Winterfest and Boston Holiday Challenge in the 55 Meter Dash. This past weekend she ran up at the prestigious Dartmouth Relays and finished second place in the 55 Meter to Canadian superstar Clemence Paiement. Amanda has run a personal best time this season of 7.26. She will be looking to improve on her 4th place finish in the All State Finals.
Scott Arsenault 12th Grade Billerica Memorial High School
The Senior from Billerica has quietly run up some pretty impressive statistics in the last year or so. His 2:30 clocking in the 1000 meters at last years New England Championships automatically puts him as one of the favorites for an All State title in 2013. This past weekend he won the prestigious Dartmouth Invitational with a time of 2:33, but it was is amazing come from behind kick that shows you he has what it takes to win on the big stage. Chris Poggi from Pinkerton Academy took off on the last lap, but it was Arsenault that came roaring back in the lst 100 Meters to win the title.
