Paul Hogan Junior Burlington High School
The Burlington High School junior flew under the radar for most of the season. He finished 3rd place at the Kelley Invitational early in the season, and followed that up with a second place at the Bay State Invitational at Northfield. Those were two solid performances, but this weekend he had a major breakthrough running 15:31 to capture first place in the Division 4 race. Hogan is certainly peaking at the right time, and he will be one of the favorites on the mountain this Saturday. He ran 9:37 for 2 Miles last spring as a sophomore.
Lauren O'Neil Sophomore Falmouth High School
The Top returning Division 3 runner did not disappoint this past weekend as she captured the State title with an impressive time of 18:42. Last year she was second place to Wellesley's Priyanka Fouda. O'Neil has been on a roll lately by winning the ACL Championship meet, the MSTCA Sophomore Race, and now adding a State championship to her resume. She ran a 5:14 mile last spring as a freshman.
