ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
Josh Lampron
DIVISION 2: MANSFIELD, SENIOR, 800, MILE
Lampron was on of the top runners in the country this spring. He captured the All-State title in the 800 (1:51.99) and the mile (4:07.88). Less than a week later he had a third-place finish in the Adidas Boys Dream Mile in 4:02.98. He will attend Villanova.
ALL-SCHOLASTICS
Khary Bailey-Smith
WEYMOUTH, SENIOR, HIGH JUMP
Nobody had Bailey-Smith's hops this year. He won his second straight All-State high jump title with a leap of 6-8 after clearing 6-11 in the Division 1 meet. He also won the Division 1 long jump title and the MSTCA South Decathlon title. He will attend UMass-Amherst.
Matt Baldasare
MANSFIELD, JUNIOR, 400
Baldasare owned the 400 this season, capturing the Division 2 title in 49.79 and followed that up with a 49.30 championship time at All-States, to help lift the Hornets to the team title. An honor roll student he also runs cross-country and plays basketball for the Hornets.
Eric Beckwith
NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, SENIOR
The top shot putter in all of New England this season, Beckwith bested the field by nearly three feet at New Englands with a winning toss of 57-08. He also won the All-State title (57-10) and the Division 2 title (56-3) to sweep the major events this season.
Brian Ferreira
MANSFIELD
Ferreira was the top hurdler in EMass, capturing the Division 2 title in 15.01. He was also a Hockomock League All-Star. His fourth-place finish at all-states helped lift Mansfield to the team title. A team captain in outdoor and indoor track, he will attend UNH.
Wesley Gallagher
PEMBROKE, 2 MILE
Gallagher saved his best for the all-state's, winning in 9:08.93, a 19-second improvement on Division 3 meet winning time. His all-state performance helped lead Pembroke to a second-place team finish. He is a Patriot League All-Star and was the Division 2 Runner of the Year in cross-country.
Cameron Hebert
MASCONOMET, JUNIOR, 400 HURDLES
Hebert cleared every hurdle this season in capturing the 400 meter hurdle All-State title in 53.73. He also set the meet record in the Division 2 meet with a time of 54.46. He was the Cape Ann League MVP this year and owns the league record in the 400 hurdles.
Donovan Henry
CATHOLIC MEMORIAL, SENIOR, 200
The Catholic Conference MVP, Henry was the 200 All-State champion this spring, running a blistering 21.87 after capturing the Division 2 title earlier. He also helped the 4x100 relay team to the All-State title. A three-time all-conference football player, he will run track at Northeastern.
Kris Horn
PEMBROKE, SENIOR, LONG JUMP
Horn capped off a brilliant spring by winning the decathlon at the National Outdoor Championships. He dominated the Division 3 meet, winning the long jump, triple jump, and the 100. He was also the all-state champion in the long jump leaping 23-11. He will attend Connecticut.
Jarrod Jones
ROXBURY LATIN, SENIOR
The ISL long jump champion, holds the Roxbury Latin school record in the high jump, and ran in the relay team that now holds the 4x100 school record. Jones, who plans to run at Trinity College next year, also plays varsity football and basketball.
TJ Noonan
TRINITY CATHOLIC, JUNIOR
Noonan set the pace with the javelin this spring with an All-State meet-winning toss of 182-6. He was also the Division 4 champion, winning that with a toss of 180-4. He was a Catholic Central All-Star in track and he also played varsity football.
Dana Pagliuca
XAVERIAN, JUNIOR, TRIPLE JUMP
The top triple jumper in the state, Pagliuca owned the Catholic Conference, Division 1, and All-State titles in the event this year. He is also a member of the football team, and a National Honor Society student. He plans to be an engineering major in college.
Nathan Pierre Louis
WALTHAM
A two-time All-Scholastic, Pierre Louis saved his best effort for his last meet this spring, capturing the New England championship in Maine with a time of 48.28. He finished third at the All-State meet after winning the Division 1 state title running in 47.95.
Charles Ruffin
KING PHILIP, SENIOR, 100
Ruffin blazed past defenders last fall on the football field, and this spring he couldn't be caught on the track. He blitzed the field at All-States running a 10.75 to take home the title. He also won the Division 2 meet this spring, running a 10.73.
Jordan Samuels
THAYER, SOPHOMORE
Samuels became the Independent School League champion in the 110 hurdles (14.64), triple jump (45.4 ¾) and 300m hurdles (40.00). Only a sophomore, Samuels, owns three school records and was the New England champion in the triple jump and 300m hurdles.
Brendan Sullivan
WESTFORD, SENIOR
A two-time All-Scholastic, Sullivan swept all three major pole vault competitions this spring. He won the New England title with leap of 15-3, after winning the All-States (15-3) and Division 1 (14-6) titles as well. He also finished eighth at nationals at 14-2.5.

HINGHAM, DISCUS
The All-State discus champion, Sullivan clinched his second consecutive title with a toss of 164-11. He won the Division 3 discus title, and captured the shot put with a throw of 51-1. He is a high honor studentand will compete at Bryant in the fall.

CATHOLIC MEMORIAL
This dynamic group captured the Division 2 title, running an impressive 43.08. They followed that effort up with an even better one in the All-States, running a championship time of 42.69. Conrad, a Catholic Conference All-Star, got off the blocks first for the Knights. He was followed by All-Scholastic sprinter Henry. Berment, a Catholic Conference All-Star in football as well as track, ran the third leg. Anchoring this group was West who was fourth in the All-State in the 100 individually. The three seniors leave as three-time Division 2 state champions.

ACTON-BOXBOROUGH
After finishing second at the Division 1 meet, the Colonials bounced back to take the All-State title in the 4x400. Abacherli, a Holy Cross-bound senior, got the race off to a good start. Usoff, A DCL All-Star in both indoor and outdoor track, kept the momentum up. Doelp, in his first season of track ran third. Somers, who was running in place of Nord who ran the Division 1 race, ran the anchor. He was second at All-States in the 400 and third in New Englands and was able to take the race home for the Colonials.

PEMBROKE
This talented group won the Division 3 state title in 8:06.01, but made great strides at All-States, shaving 12 seconds off that time to take the top spot in 7:54.46. The Stafford brothers of Christian (the Division 3 state runner up in the two-mile) and William got the race started for the Titans. Vercollone, who was the Division 3 champion in the 800, ran the third leg. Anchoring this squad was the two-mile champion in Gallagher. This group's efforts helped lift Pembroke to a second-place finish as a team in the All-State meet.
COACH OF THE YEAR
Jim Blackburn
NEWTON NORTH
No stranger to this award, Blackburn, a 52-year coaching veteran, helped lead the Tigers to an unbeaten dual meet season this year with a 6-0-1 record. His squad followed that up with wins in the Division 1 relays, and the Division 1 state meet.
Robert Dick
GREATER LOWELL
Coaching both the Gryphons boys and girls teams, Dick led the boys to an 8-0 mark in the Commonwealth Conference. He was also honored as Coach of the Year in 2005. Over 19 seasons he has led his boys to a 148-12 career record.
Fred Jewett
HINGHAM
Jewett lead Hingham to a perfect dual meet season and a Patriot League title. His team followed that titlesin the Division 3 relaysand Division 3 meet. He has more than 200 wins in 23 years at Hingham, and was the MIAA indoor coach of the year last winter.
Kent Taylor
NORTON
The Tri-Valley League Coach of the Year, Taylor led Norton to a 9-0 record and the school's first TVL title. The Lancers also did well on the state level, taking second place at the Division 4 relays and had a record 25 athletes qualify for states.
