Highlights
- John Murray of Shrewsbury appeared to be in control of the 3000m until Morgan Pearson of Delbarton School (IL) broke away from the pack and split the next 800m in 2:09. Murray would finish 3rd in 8:27.00; a time that converts to 9:07.41 for 2 miles.
- Kyle Quinn of Somerset unleashed a massive 204'9" throw in the javelin to finish 3rd in the Championship section. His mark is US#4 and MA#1 by 34 feet!
- The Boston College 4x1500m team of Caitlin Bailey (4:25.2), Jillian King (4:18.8), Siobhan Breagy (4:29.0), and Caroline King (4:12.2) upset national powers Georgetown and Villanova in the last 25 meters to win the event in 17:25.19.
- Jen Esposito of Mansfield finished 7th overall in the Championship 400m Hurdles with a MA#1 and US#9 time of 61.54.
- Notre Dame Academy (Hingham) ran the 5th fastest time in the state this season (52.34) in the 4x100m Relay. They were followed by Northampton at 52.58 and King Philip at 52.83.
- Notre Dame and Northampton would return in the 4x400m; both with impressive results. Notre Dame would run a MA#3 time of 4:18.96, while Northampton would challenge late in the race for the win en route to posting the fastest time in the state (4:03.17).
- Deerfield Academy almost pulled-off the upset; entering the final 200m of the Prep School 4x400m with a small lead. They would eventually finish 3rd (4:13.53) after being edged-out in the final 50 meters by Choate Rosemary (CT), and Episcopal (VA). Governor's Academy would finish 8th (4:21.42) in the same race.
- The Lincoln-Sudbury team of Marika Crowe (3:38.3), Tori Kohler (61.8), Megan Broecker (2:23.3), and Andrea Keklak (4:57.73) finished 7th in the Championship Distance Medley Relay (12:01.15). Fayetteville-Manlius won the event in a meet record time of 11:34.46.
