Lucy Downin, Fr. - Holliston

After enjoying a breakout indoor season that included a state title in the 1,000m, the freshman has put together an incredible first season on the oval. Across the 800m, one-mile, and two-mile races, Downin is undefeated and set personal bests across all three the last time she competed in them (2:14 / 5:09 / 11:29). She is the top-ranked freshman in the 800m and one-mile and will be looking to finish on the podium at her first outdoor state meet later this month.

Cole Lashua, Fr. - Fitchburg

The freshman has mixed it up in the 100m and 200m dashes this season, but has truly made his mark in the discus and shot put competitions. He sure looks like he could become one of the state's best throwers in the next season or two. In his first high school season, Lashua has won three of his five shot put competitions and most recently threw 46-2 at the Fitchburg-Oakmont Dual Meet, establishing a new top mark in the class of 2029. He finished 2nd in the discus, throwing 111-4, collecting his third top-2 finish of the season.

Cameron Getman, So. - Nipmuc Regional

The sophomore was won four of her five discus competitions this spring and has a lot of momentum heading into the final couple of weeks of the season. Getman won the discus at the CMAC B Championships on Thursday, throwing a personal best of 118-8. She also won the shot put in 33-8, picking up her fourth win of the season in that event as well. The second-year athlete appears to be on the right trajectory and could be well on her way to becoming the next great Bay State thrower.

Nixen McNeil, So. - Plymouth South

The sophomore hasn't competed very much this spring, but when he has, he's been electric, winning all three times he's been on the track in 2026. Now ranked MA #3 in the 400m hurdles, McNeil is coming off his most recent victory in the event last Friday at the MSTCA Lou Tozzi Twilight Invitational, where he ran a personal best time of 56.31. His time of 50.57 in the 400m dash puts him inside the state's fastest 30 in the event and with two years left to compete in the high school ranks, his times suggest there could be an exciting final two years on the horizon for the rising star from Plymouth South.
