We're getting closer to the Massachusetts State Championships and the state's top athletes have continued to light up the track (and field!). Let's take a look at some of the state's top performers from the most recent week of action and see who is most prepared for the final month of the season.

Massachusetts Meet Calendar

Sprint & Hurdle Events - Top Performers

Ryan Pulpi, Reading Memorial - The UMass commit stayed undefeated in the 100m dash, running 10.71 to win at the ML Block #4 for his third victory of the season. He also added a 49.00 win in the 400m dash, continuing an impressive all-around spring.

Aidan Bly, Governor's Academy - Bly swept the 100m and 200m dash titles at the ISL Championships, running 11.03 and 22.22. He's now lost just once between the two sprint events this season.

Emmanuella Edozien, Natick - Edozien took over MA #1 in the 100m hurdles after running 14.29 to win at the Weston Twilight Invitational. She also remains unbeaten in the 100m dash, continuing a breakout season.

Solana Varela, Weston - Varela delivered one of the top performances of the weekend at her home meet, winning the 400m hurdles in 61.89 to move to MA #1. The hurdles produced several big performances, but hers stood out along with Edozien's.

Field Events - Top Performers

Cristian Arroyo, Springfield Central - Arroyo launched a new state-leading throw of 188-6 in the discus, picking up his second win of the season in the event. He's remained undefeated in the shot put this spring.

Amar Skeete, Catholic Memorial - Skeete opened his triple jump season with a massive 48-9.25 at the MSTCA D2 Relays, immediately taking over MA #1. He also won the long jump the same day, continuing a dominant outdoor campaign.

Liana Bolosova, Milton Academy - Bolosova stayed unbeaten in the pole vault, clearing 13-1 to win the ISL Championships and extend her hold on the state lead. She also won the 100m hurdles and finished 2nd in the long jump, scoring 28 total points.

Annaikiah Donahue-Wilfred, Cardinal Spellman - Donahue-Wilfred won the triple jump at the Weston Twilight with a 37-11.75, continuing her strong season in the event. She also added a 3rd-place finish in the long jump and remains the state leader in the triple jump.

Distance Events - Top Performers

Brody Richardson, Williston Northhampton - Richardson ran 4:12 to win the mile at the Glenn D. Loucks Games, continuing a huge season in the distance events. He now owns six wins across seven races between the 800m, mile, and two-mile.

Julia Ritchey, Dover Sherborn Regional - Ritchey ran 2:14.92 to win the 800m at the MSTCA Jim Hoar Invitational, recording the state's fourth-fastest time this season. She also won the 400m hurdles in a PR and finished 2nd in the high jump, putting together one of the most impressive performances of the outdoor season.
