Lyric DeLeon (Methuen) won the 100 meters in 11.14 at Dracut at Methuen on May 6, improving from his previous best of 11.94. The sophomore's time ranks #55 in Massachusetts and #5 among sophomores statewide.
Carla Kasera (Gloucester) ran 12.64 to win the 100 meters at the NEC Freshman-Sophomore Championship Meet on May 9, breaking from her previous mark of 13.14 set in April. The freshman's time set a Gloucester High School record and ranks #37 in the state and #8 among freshmen. Kasera also ran a personal record 26.65 in the 200 meters, improving from 26.84.
Avery Andrews (Wellesley) finished eighth in the 800 meters at the MSTCA Jim Hoar Freshman Sophomore Invitational on May 9, clocking 2:26.06. The freshman improved from her previous best of 2:32.10 and now ranks #85 statewide and #9 among freshmen in the event.
Bennett Siino (Lexington) won the 200 meters in 22.23 at the MSTCA Jim Hoar Freshman Sophomore Invitational on May 9, improving from his previous mark of 23.19 set in April. The time ranks #10 in Massachusetts.
Levi Emmanuel (Reading Memorial) cleared 6-4 to win the high jump at ML-12 Block #4A on May 5, improving from his previous best of 6-0 set in May. The senior's mark ranks #11 in the state and #6 among seniors.
Kylianne Nieves (Dracut) placed second in the 100 meters in 12.44 at Dracut at Methuen on May 6, improving from 12.84. The freshman's time ranks #19 statewide and #4 among freshmen. Nieves also set personal records in the 200 meters (26.84) and long jump (16-5).
Lindsey Mitchell (Stoughton) ran 2:23.05 to place second in the 800 meters at Mansfield vs Stoughton on May 5, improving from 2:29.60. Her time ranks #52 in Massachusetts. Mitchell also recorded a personal best 15-4 in the long jump.
