On Monday, more than 30,000 runners will make their way from Hopkinton to Copley Square for the 122nd edition of the Boston Marathon. As part of the pre-Marathon festivities two days earlier, two high school athletes from each of the seven towns and cities along the 26-2-mile route will compete in the BAA Invitational Scholastic Mile. In last year's event, Natick's Grace Connolly established a meet record of 5 minutes, 4.8 seconds. She held off runner-up, Newton South's Clare Martin, who also went under the CR with her time of 5:07.1. Connolly will not be back to defend her title and Martin has since graduated. Who will reign supreme at this Saturday's event? Here's a list of some of the top competitors, plus the remaining entries that will grace the starting line on Boylston Street.
