The Amesbury girls and Case boys took home the hardware Sunday at the Division 5 State Relays.
Highlighted by four victories, Amesbury coasted to a 51-35 decision over runner-up Littleton. Case relied on its depth, winning one relay and finishing second in two more to beat East Bridgewater, 34-28.
Amesbury won the 4x50-yard (25.41 seconds), 4x200-meter (1:50.59), 4x50y shuttle hurdle (32.30) and Long jump (44 feet, 1.25 inches) relays. Littleton secured gold in the 4x400m (4:14.67), 4x800m (9:54.70) and the distance medley (13:00.62) relays.
Case's lone win in the boys' competition came in the long jump relay where it combined for a first-place distance of 123-8.75. Ayer-Shirley was second at 122-1. Case garnered a pair of runner-up placements in the 4x200m (1:37.12) and 4x50y (23.55) relays.
In one of the closest races of the afternoon, Watertown held off Mahar Regional in the 4x400m relay. Watertown crossed the line in 3:34.07 to Mahar's 3:34.59 effort.
Watertown also got the best of Case in the 4x200m where it was timed in a winning 1:36.76.
Ayer-Shirley captured the two longest events on the track. The Panthers won the 4x800m (8:26.47) and the DMR (11:12.25).
