Meet Matthew Centrowitz Friday At Sharon High



Don't miss this GREAT opportunity. Olympic gold medalist Matthew Centrowitz and his dad, Matt Centrowitz, a two-time U.S. Olympian, will be at Sharon High this Friday for a special event sponsored by Marathon Sports. It will be held from 7-9 p.m.

He took Rio by storm in August, becoming the first American to take gold in the 1500m since 1908. Join us for a very special presentation and Q&A with Matthew Centrowitz and his father, 2-time Olympian Matt Centrowitz. Learn about each of their journeys with running and Matt Jr.'s path to the podium in Rio.

Admission to this event is free, and seats are first-come, first served. We will have free posters that you can have autographed!

DID YOU KNOW: Matt Centrowitz was one of the greatest distance runners of his time, with personal bests of 3:36.7 in the 1500m, 3:54.0 in the mile, and 13:12.0 in the 5K. He competed in two Olympic games, and was inducted into the University of Oregon Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998

DID YOU KNOW: Before his gold medal performance in Rio, Matthew won the 2016 World Championship in the 1500m to wrap up an unbeaten indoor season. He, like his father, competed at the University of Oregon and was teammates with Galen Rupp.
