Girls Sprints:
State leader Sydney Fisher (Cambridge R&L) enters Sunday's meet as the clear favorite with her quick 7.25 performance she dropped two weeks ago at the Dual County League Meet. Hoping to nip Fisher at the line will be Leyshla Gonzalez (Lowell), the speedster from the Merrimack Valley who has run 7.33 this year and comes in with a career PR of 7.29.
In the hurdles, Isabella Dimare (Notre Dame-Hingham) looks continue her reign as the top hurdler in the state. Earlier this month, Dimare finished 3rd in the 55H at the Dartmouth Relays with a strong 8.53 performance. A victory for Dimare will not come easy, as she will have to deal with fellow top hurdler and Outdoor 100H State Champion Cole Godzinski (North Reading). Godzinski can certainly challenge Dimare and has run a respectable 8.69 so far this season.
