Boston - Garrett O'Toole, the Middlesex School senior, just missed a Massachusetts high school record in the 3,000-meter run at the Boston University Track and Field Mini Meet. O'Toole, who finished seventh, was timed in 8:29.47, O'Toole's performance moves him into the No.2 spot on the all-time Massachusetts indoor list. O'Toole's former teammate, James Randon holds the current record at 8:25.12. Last Spring O'Toole was the Independent School Track Association's 800 and 1500 meter champion. He hails from Weston, Mass. The Middlesex School is a member if the ISL [Independent School League].
