Which athletes have the best mix of long- and triple-jumping ability?
The state once again had a number of athletes that have excelled at the pit. By adding each athlete's season best in the long and triple together, we can get a good idea of which jumpers are some of the state's most versatile. Nate Hobbs of St. John's Prep, who captured the triple jump at the All State Meet, surpassed the 70-foot mark with his combined total of 71-7.75. He leaped a best of 48-0 in the TJ and was 23-7-.75 for the LJ.
