In a predicted 1-2 battle, Phillips Magre continued his mastery in the 400m with his first sub 48-second clocking. The Somerville senior led 10 runners under 50 seconds with a winning time of 47.98. It was his second straight title in as many seasons. He won the 300m crown during the indoor. In Saturday's race, Magre held off Belmont's Calvin Perkins (second, 48.16), our indoor 600m champion.
