For the same reason we picked the boys' two mile, we picked this race because it will be the first one that another top-class runner will compete in this Saturday, Natick's Grace Connolly. Connolly has a best of 4:51.28 from the Junior Mile of the New Balance Grand Prix back on Jan. 31.We got word on Thursday that Acton-Boxborough's Samantha Friborg ran a solo 4:56 during a league meet. Could we see the two gifted runners competing together at the All State Meet? Connolly is the top seed in this race by nearly 10 seconds, which means this might be a solo effort for her this weekend. Friborg's time might provide enough motivation for her to concentrate on a fast time.
