CMass Division State Meet Previews

CMass Division 2

BOYS

Individually and team-wise could create a bit of excitement in this race. Ayer-Shirley's Ethan Matthews, the Division 2 winner at Twilight with a 15:30.30 effort, is certainly a strong contender to break the tape. But there's also runners like Hopedale's Brandon Hall and Parker Charter's Nico Agosta that have to be considered. Hall won the Dual Valley Conference meet on Oct. 30 where he ran sub 16. He also clocked a season best of 15:54 at Twilight. Agosta looked strong in winning the Division 2 Junior/Senior race this past weekend at the Coaches Invitational where he was timed in 16:14.37. Agosta is a runner that knows how to perform in big meets. As a sophomore, he was fourth at the All State Finals. He was second at the meet last year.

Parker Charter, a team that has performed very well this fall, and Hopedale, will certainly be locking horns in the battle for team supremacy. Ayer-Shirley should also be contending for a strong placement.
