Right now, the No. 1 choice for individual honors would have to be Nauset's Madaket Nobili, who ran 18 minutes for a generous 5K at the Twilight Invitational. She also averaged six-minute pace at the Big Wave Invitational at the beginning of the season when she won the Junior-Senior race in 15:00.50. Foxboro's Abby Hassman recently captured the Hockomock League title where she was just over 19 minutes and ran 18:42.40 at Twilight. Other runners that should snare some top placements this weekend are Dennis-Yarmouth's Sydney McCann, Westwood's Ashley Walker, Nauset's Tara Ellard and Plymouth South's Jillian Callahan, who was second in the Div. 2 race last year.
With at least three of their runners ranked among the 10 in this division, Nauset and Westwood appear as though they'll be the teams contending for the title.
