Phillips Exeter Academy (NH) senior and North Carolina signee William Coogan showed his talent late in Heat 10 of the men's 1-mile field at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, winning in a time of 4:11.30. That effort was a PR by two seconds, and followed a fourth-place finish at the Millrose Games on Feb. 8 against a high school field.
