Call it the DiMare Redemption. A year after falling in the hurdles and not making it to the starting line of the 200-meter dash, Notre Dame’s Isabella DiMare decided it was time to make things right again. DiMare gave the 200-meter field an up-close look at her talents yesterday at the Div. 2 EMass Championships on her home track. The speedster was fast out of the blocks and accelerated on the turn and down the straightaway to break the tape in a stunning new personal best of 24.98 seconds.

HINGHAM - Though it boasted just one divisional champion, the depth of the North Attleboro High boys' track and field team made up the difference. The Red Rocketeers won the MIAA Eastern Division 2 Championship on Monday afternoon at Notre Dame Academy, earning the team's first divisional championship since 1991."It was a great day by our seniors all day long," said North boys' coach Derek Herber. "We had a great day on the field and a great day on the track." The lone North champion was a familiar one, Eric Beckwith, who threw for a first-place mark in the shot put (55-feet, 6-inches) and third-place mark in the discus (147-9). Austin Renzi also cashed in on a third-place javelin throw (169-10).

The weather will not be a factor in todays Championship meet in Hingham.
