Stonehill Sweeps Northeast-10 Cross Country Championship Titles

The Stonehill College men's and women's cross country teams each claimed championships at the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference Cross Country Championships, which were held today at Stanley Park in Westfield, Massachusetts. American International College student-athletes swept the individual championships as Glarius Rop won the eight-kilometer men's race in a time of 23.59 and Jeptui Cherutich won the five-kilometer women's race in a final time of 17.39. Rop and Cherutich were also named Northeast-10 Conference Male and Female Athletes of the Year, which was voted on by the conference's head coaches.
