The MSTCA Twilight Invitational was the brainchild of Seekonk coach, and MSTCA Executive Director, Frank Mooney. The original idea was the product of some nightime workouts that Seekonk did with Bishop Feehan years ago, and Mooney has been trying to bring life to the idea ever since.  The two coaches have produced some of the best athletes to ever run in Massachusetts, but they were always astounded in the quality of workouts they would get from their runners at night.  To this day, Bishop Feehan Head Coach Bob L'Homme still schedules the nighttime sessions, and based on the performance of his team on Saturday, they are working.

Five years in the making, the MSTCA Twilight meet was a resounding success and an experience  that will not soon be forgotten by those that participated.  The electric atmosphere was only outdone by the intense battles on the race course.  Coach L'Homme  described the varsity boys race as a "heavyweight fight", and it was by far the most exciting team competition we have witnessed all season.

If a picture says a thousand words, than a video must say a million.  Writing a description of the events does not do it justice, and thankfully, Sandwich Head Coach Steve Infascelli was able to catch all the action in a video highlight.  Our thanks to Steve, the hard working men and women of the MSTCA, and Rick Kates for hosting a spectacular event and helping bring it to the fans of MileSplitMass.
