Coach Z breaks all the rules in this installment of Take 3-with-Z featuring professional runner Anna Pierce. For once, he actually asks serious questions, and then he sneaks in a fourth question that clearly jinxed the Patriots and should be blamed for their demise. For those that are unfamiliar with Anna Pierce, she is truly a New England product. Born and raised in Maine, Pierce attended Telstar High School and then ran collegiately at Brown University. In 2008, she set the American Record in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:27.56) and then went on to finish 4th at the 2009 World Championships in the 1500m (4:06.19). Contrary to what most would think, Pierce produced some very modest times in high school – she tells her PR’s in the video – and warns against working too hard at a young age.
