Former Marblehead High School star Shalane Flanagan won the Latin Music Miami Beach Half Marathon on Sunday with a very impressive time of 1:09:58. She finished fourth overall and was three minutes ahead of second place Kara Goucher. Last week she sat down with the equally famous Coach Zopatti of Pembroke for some advice, and to reminisce about her prep running career. Was her successful race just a week later a mere coincidence? I think not! |

Shalane Flanagan talks to us about her training towards the 2012 Olympic Trials Marathon in Houston. Shalane is still new to the event as she has only run one marathon (NYC). Shalane gives us some insight to workouts, lessons learned and workouts during this training cycle....and she gives her thoughts towards some of the race's biggest names. |
