The Martha's Vineyard Invitational kicked-off the weekend of racing with Bishop Feehan, Notre Dame Academy, Barnstable, and a host of others headed to the island for an early season test.
Highlights
- Sophomore Abigail Livinston of Barrington fought-off the Shamrock trio to hold-on for the win in 19:45.57. Her team would finish second overall with 70 points.
- Bishop Feehan took 6 of the top 12 spots in the Varsity Girls race to win the meet with 26 points. Kathleen Powell (19:54.86), Erin Svensen (19:56.90), and Abbie McNulty (19:57.11) finished 2-3-4 respectively.
- In his third race of the week, Paolo Tavares of New Bedford ran a very respectable 16:06.68 for the win. His team would finish 4th, just missing 3rd place by 3 points to Belmont Hill.
- Henry Dodge would lead Bishop Feehan to the team title with a second place finish in 16:12.20, but the real damage was done by the Shamrock pack that took spots 6-10. Evan Grandfield, Rich Moschella, Mike Hanley, Alex Conway, and Michael Wood would all finish with a spread of under 19 seconds.
- Conor Dean was one of only three athletes to run under 19 minutes in the JV Boys race. Dean won the event in 18:05.65. The other two to break 19 minutes were Brendan Lynch (18:25.27) and Michael Green (18:37.93) also from Bishop Feehan.

Elizabeth Costantino of Notre Dame Academy posted a 30 second win in the JV Girls race. She clocked-in at 20:56.19 and was the only girl in the race to break 21 minutes. Bishop Feehan showed their depth at this level also; taking the next 5 spots.
