Division 3 Championships: Bishop Feehan wins both team titles

Highlights

  • Bishop Feehan won both team titles over second place Pembroke
  • Taelour Murphy of Triton Regional won the 100m with a MA#1 time of 12.13.
  • Becky Stoyle of Pembroke set a new meet record in the triple jump (38'7.75"), won the 200m (25.33), and finished second in the long jump at 17'4".  Amanda Caldarone of Danvers also finished the long jump at 17'4" but picked-up the win based on her second best jump.
  • Alyssa Perreault of Bishop Feehan won the 400m (57.62), but she had her hands full with freshman Grace Macura of Stoneham who finished second in 57.84.
  • Viviana Hanley of Bishop Feehan went wire-to-wire in the 2 mile; winning the event in 11:08.15. 
  • Alex Stanton of Medfield destroyed the field in the 400m hurdles.  Her winning time of 63.08 was over 5 seconds ahead of second place.
  • Katie Cataldo of Bishop Feehan won the javelin with a MA#3 throw of 133'6".
  • Billy Looney of Bishop Feehan won the 800m (1:57.08) and then split 49.8 to anchor his team to a second place finish in the 4x400m relay.  Randolph won the 4x400m relay for the 4th consecutive time; clocking in at 3:25.93.
  • The Pembroke boys would use their depth to pick-up some important team points in the mile. Wesley Gallagher won the event in (4:23.63), and teammate Brendan Adams was second (4:23.86).
  • Dan Gordon of Plymouth North came-up big in another divisional championship.  He bridged a massive gap in the final lap of the 2 mile to pass Ryan Kelley (Pembroke) for the win (9:36.09).  Kelley would finish second (9:38.33); followed by David Taranto of  Burlington (9:39.97).
  • Jermaine Kelly of Swampscott won the 110m hurdles in 14.88.
  • Olisa Obiefuna of Saugus on the long jump (22'2.35") and the triple jump (47'1.5").
  • Kyle Quinn of Somerset won the javelin with a US#8 mark of 207'9".
