Several Massachusetts high school track and field athletes posted personal records at meets during the week of April 20.
Sophia Olaniyan (Taunton) threw 146-3 in the hammer throw at the Mass Hammer Invite on April 24, improving from her previous best of 123-11 set in April 2026. The mark ranks #2 in Massachusetts and set a school record for Taunton High School. Olaniyan placed second of six competitors and also set a personal record in the discus with 137-3, improving from 135-6.
Siddy Culbreth (Monument Mountain Regional) jumped 23-1 in the long jump at the MSTCA Warrior Invitational on April 23, improving from his previous best of 21-1.5. The sophomore ranks #4 in the state and #1 among Massachusetts sophomores. Culbreth's mark set a school record for Monument Mountain Regional High School and placed second of 73 competitors.
Connor Oakes (Sabis Charter School) ran 11.28 in the 100 meters at the MSTCA Warrior Invitational on April 23, improving from his previous best of 11.79 set in May 2025. The senior ranks #65 in Massachusetts and #19 among state seniors. Oakes placed eighth of 253 competitors.
Sara Janelli (Stoughton) ran 25.99 in the 200 meters at the MSTCA Warrior Invitational on April 23, improving from her previous best of 27.16. The mark ranks #13 in Massachusetts and placed sixth of 101 competitors.
Chloe Cahill (Notre Dame Academy-Worcester) ran 13.10 in the 100 meters at the MSTCA Warrior Invitational on April 23, improving from her previous best of 13.64. The mark ranks #94 in Massachusetts and placed 19th of 197 competitors. Cahill also set a personal record in the 200 meters with 27.46, improving from 28.94.
Adam McDermott (Oakmont Regional) ran 15.99 in the 110-meter hurdles at the MSTCA Invitational & Pentathlon on April 24, improving from his previous best of 16.94 set in April 2026. The sophomore ranks #46 in Massachusetts and #3 among state sophomores. McDermott placed eighth of 74 competitors.
Godson Delisme (Everett) ran 23.38 in the 200 meters at the MSTCA Invitational & Pentathlon on April 24, improving from his previous best of 25.64 set in April 2026. The mark ranks #97 in Massachusetts and placed 12th of 112 competitors.
