Watch 2019 MIAA All-State Championships Race Video
Boston Latin girls were able to outlast a deep MIAA 4x800m field last spring. They were able to get out front early with some back and forth action throughout the first few legs with Walpole, Concord Carlisle and others mixing it up in the front. Through 2 legs Concord Carlisle and Boston Latin were side by side as CC began to push the pace.
Despite a fast early pace on the first lap of the third leg, Boston Latin moved to the lead 350 meters in and would not look back over the final two legs. Walpole got the stick just behind Boston Latin, but were never able to challenge Latin's Annie Jackson for the leg once the final leg got underway.
They won the indoor 4x800m state title and would repeat that success outdoors running 9:23.66 going unchallenged over the final leg. Their squad of Lucy Abdow, Ema Noonan, Julie Tassinari and Annie Jackson's time would be the fastest of any Massachusetts school over the 2019 season.
The would go on to finish 2nd at the New England Championships running 9:24.21
