The defending champion felt smooth in her heat with no hamstring pain. Malcolm went into the final confident and blazed her way to an easy victory in 7.23 seconds. "I was kind of nervous, but I really didn't feel it (hamstring) today," she said. "I had a slow start, but I did my best and went for it. I've been trying to lower my time all season."
