Heading into the 2019 season, the Ipswich High School boys are the top team based off of their top 5 runners' placements in our top returning Eastern Division 6 rankings. The top 100 Eastern Division 6 boys rankings can be found here. The Ipswich Tigers are led by Jack Demarco, a rising Senior who is a 2:00.23 800 meter runner and leads a team of Ipswich boys that returns their whole top 5. With an already successful 2018 campaign that ended with them qualifying and runner at the MIAA All State Finals, the Ipswich High School boys are looking to do damage this upcoming season.

Placing second in the division behind Ipswich is Cohasset High School. Cohasset finished second at the MIAA Eastern Division Championships in 2018 but lost two of their top five for this season. However, the team is led by rising Senior, Ned Farrington, who finished 56th at the MIAA All State Finals division 2 race last year. Farrington is also the 5th ranked returning Eastern Division 6 boys runner and is coming off of a strong Outdoor Track & Field season featuring a 10:11.28 Two Mile performance and a 4:39.16 One Mile performance. Will Cohasset make it two years in a row in the second spot in the division, or can they push forward and challenge Ipswich?

Our reigning Eastern Division 6 champions, Bellingham High School, ranks third after losing 4 of its top 5 runners, including Ethan Carr, who took home 8th place in the division 2 race at the  MIAA All State Finals last fall. Now Bellingham has to move forward with rising Junior, Daniel Kurczy leading the charge. However, Bellingham will have to try to move forward to challenge Cohasset and Ipswich, but also watch out for Austin Prep School (181 points) and Sturgis Charter West (189 points), who are ranking just behind them (175 points) in the rankings.

It is shaping up to be a close division for the Eastern Division 6 boys - make sure to check out the rest of the top ten ranked teams below.
