Topping our list of 2018 Middle School 5K performances is Oliver Swabey. In Mount Greylock Regional High School's class of 2024, Swabey was in 7th grade during the 2018 Cross Country season where he clocked a time of 17:21.00 at the MIAA Western Division Championships. Swabey would continue to impress during the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field season by running a personal best 10:33.31 Two Mile. With five more years of high school level running in front of him, Oliver Swabey is a name to watch out for.

Swabey was not the only middle school runner of the 2018 season to dip under 18:00, however. Both
