Countdown: No. 6, Twice As Nice For Alfieri

As expected, this was an extremely difficult task. With so many to chose from, we have come up with a list of what we consider the top 20 performances of the outdoor track & field season. We rank them in order, beginning with No. 20 and finishing with No. 1.

Countdown: No. 6, Twice As Nice For Alfieri

When it came to the sprints this season, there was no one better than the Bromfield School's Chloe Alfieri. Against her MA rivals, the speedy senior went undefeated in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. For the short sprint, she consistently ran in the low 12-second range and for the half-lapper she blazed sub-25 on a weekly basis. On June 2, Alfieri came through with her best performances in the two events when it counted the most. She was one of a select few that earned multiple individual titles at the All State Meet, winning the 100m and 200m. In both races, she established personal bests, clocking 12.09 for 100m and 24.47 for 200m. Alfieri, our indoor 300m titlist, would close out her high school career by taking runner-up honors in her specialties at the New England Championships.
