On Monday, more than 30,000 runners will make their way from Hopkinton to Copley Square for the 122nd edition of the Boston Marathon. As part of the pre-Marathon festivities two days earlier, two high school athletes from each of the seven towns and cities along the 26-2-mile route will compete in the BAA Invitational Scholastic Mile. Returning this year with hopes of coming out on top is the 2017 runner-up, Andrew Mah of Newton North. In last year's race, Mah was less than two seconds behind winner Benjamin Matejka with his time of 4:29.6. This year's field includes a plethora of runners that have dipped under 4:30 in their careers. Who will reign supreme at this Saturday's event? Here's a list of some of the top competitors, plus the remaining entries that will grace the starting line on Boylston Street.
