VOTE Top Boys' Performer At All State Meet!


The All State Championships this past Saturday was another one for the ages. A multitude of our athletes not only moved up the state rankings, but made some noise nationally, too. Here's a rundown our girls' winners this weekend. Once you've viewed the list, vote for the performance(s) you feel was the best of them all. Voting ends Friday at midnight.

  • Arlington's Ryan Oosting captured both distance events, winning the mile in 4:12.75 and the two mile in a nation No. 1 of 9:08.34.
  • Milton's Smith Charles was also a double-winning, taking the 55m dash in 6.45 and the long jump with a leap of 22-7.75.
  • Somerville's Phillips Magre broke the meet record in the 300m dash with a time of 34.30.
  • Belmont's Calvin Perkins broke the tape in the 600m with a sub-1:20 clocking of 1:19.97, the country's second fastest time.
  • Lexington's Thomas Lingard copped his second straight 1,000m crown with a two-plus second PR of 2:27.62.
  • Woburn's Elisha George won a tight race in the 55m hurdles with a time of 7.70.
  • Algonquin's Alex Lemieux cleared 6-6 to capture the high jump. His previous best was 6-2.
  • Athol's Kris Selanis upset the field in the shot with a PR of 56-1.75.
  • Lincoln-Sudbury clocked the seventh fastest time in the country by winning the 4x800m relay with a time of 7:54.09.
  • Newton North held off Mansfield by just .12 to take the 4x400m relay in 3:24.38.
  • In a close race where the top five teams dipped under 1:32, Lexington came out on top with a time of 1:31.12.
