Nashua North's David Vorbach and Needham's Nell Haney captured the respective boys' and girls' individual crowns at Saturday's Catholic Memorial Invitational, held at Franklin Park.
Vorbach covered the challenging five-kilometer course in a time of 16:00.10. Mansfield's Kalin Petron was second in 16:02.80. Needham's Cameron McLeod placed third at 16:13.10. Mansfield claimed the team title, defeating runner-up Needham, 61-92.
Haney won the girls' race by nearly 20 seconds, crossing the line at 19:38.50. Nashua North's Arianna Braccio placed second in 19:55.10. Finishing third was Nashua South's Cali Coffin, who was timed in 20:05. Lexington went home with the team plaque, scoring 94 points. Needham was second with 126 points.
