BAY STATE INVITATIONAL
With the divisional state meets and the All State Finals coming up fast, the Bay State Invite will certainly provide a good glimpse of what to expect at those meets. The meet will feature several heavy hitters such as the Wellesley boys, who are entered in the opening Class A race. The Raiders are loaded with talented this season and have the potential to place all their scoring runners in the top 10 to 15 positions. There's also twin sisters Sarah and Kaitlyn Roffman of Littleton, who will battle once again at Wrentham in the Class A girls. Competing in their first X-C season, the gifted siblings went 1-2 in the Championship race at the Frank Kelley Invitational two weeks ago, both dipping under 19 minutes for the 5K course. Among several potential head-to-head battles, we could have a down-to-the-wire affair in the Class B boys' race where Amherst-Pelham's Jack Yanko and Brookline's Lucas Aramburu will square off. Both have proven this fall they're capable of a mid 15-minute time at Wrentham.
