VOTE Best Girls' Performance Of The Weekend!

The first BIG weekend for Massachusetts' athletes took place this past weekend with five meets on the slate. For girls, three meets stood out - the Ocean State Invitational in Rhode Island and the Amherst Invitational and the Ted Dutkiewicz Memorial Races right here in MA. As usual, there were a number of fine performances by our Bay Staters. Amherst-Pelham's Sophia Jacobs-Townsley clocked a fast, early-season 5K time of 18:33.0 to capture the Amherst Invite. At the Ocean State meet, Tewskbury's Rachel Sessa held back in the early stages of the Championship race before pouring it in on late to finish seventh overall in 18:58. Teamwise, Tewksbury placed an impressive second behind national powerhouse Saratoga Springs (NY) with just 75 points. Hopkinton's Olivia Jones posted the third fastest time among ninth-graders in the two freshmen races at Ocean State by taking third overall in the Division 2 event with a time of 16-minutes flat for 4K. There was also Emily Boutin, a sophomore from Pope Francis, who posted the fastest time of the day, to win the Small School event of the Ted Dutkiewicz Memorial Races with a time of 16:21.84 for 2.67 miles.

Now we want you vote! Below we have compiled the five mentioned performances and we want to know what you feel is the best of them all. Voting ends on Saturday at midnight.
