Two Down, One To Go For Gregorek At Worlds!

Johnny Gregorek is making the most of his debut appearance at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships.

The Seekonk native advanced to the finals with a solid effort in his semifinal heat of the 1,500-meter run. With a strong kick the final 400m, Gregorek placed seventh overall with a time of 3 minutes, 38.6 seconds. His time was faster than all the competitors in the first heat so he earned his berth based on overall time.

The finals for the 1,500m will be held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EST.
