Milton's Smith Charles ranked No. 1 in 3 events for tenth-graders, including a state-leader in the long jump.
Our last poll referring to the top freshmen boys' performer didn't quite gain the steam of our girls' poll with just 91 votes cast throughout the week. With 35 votes, Lowell's Richmond Kwaateng was our No. 1 vote-getter. Kwaateng was nominated for his class-leading 11.14 time in the 100-meter dash. Finishing second was West Springfield's two-miler Gabriel Medina with 10 votes.
Let's try and make this week's poll match the success of the girls from last week, which had more than 4,400 votes. Check out the poll below and click the circle next to the athlete that you feel deserves to be on the top. Voting ends Saturday at midnight.
