BOYS' 110m HIGH HURDLES
This is certainly an event that has potential to go right down to the final hurdle, or actually final few meters. The two we feel will make it that way is top seed Erick Duffy of North Andover and Old Rochester's Danny Renwick. Renwick looked strong at last week's Eastern Division 4 meet where he clocked his best of 14.56. Duffy ran a state and PB of 14.30 at the Merrimack Valley Conference meet a few weeks ago, a race he won by .70. Unlike that race, he'll be pushed to the final hurdle. Keep an eye on the clock. This could be a fast one. For both athletes, it could be twice as nice this weekend. Duffy is the overwhelming favorite in the pole vault and Renwick is the only athlete to clear 6-10 in the high jump.
