Eastern Division 2 Girls' 400m
Wow...this certainly could be a nail-biter the final stretch!!! On the line will be three of the top 400m specialists in the state - Wellesley freshman Abby Comella (57.40), Woburn's Avery Leydon (57.81) and Beverly ninth-grader India Ingemi (57.99). You also can't ignore two other "sub-minute" runners - Concord-Carlisle teammates Valerie Reiling (58.09) and Lottie Franck (59.85). Leydon might be considered the slight favorite. She was fourth at the All-State Meet last year with her all-time best of 56.89. She followed that effort was a runner-up finish at the New England Championships.
