New webmaster at MileSplit MA

New Massachusetts' webmaster Steve Mazzone, left, on the press truck for the annual Bobby Doyle Summer Classic this past August. In addition to MA, Steve will also monitor the RI site.

Welcome Your New Webmaster Steve Mazzone!

Steve will be steering the ship in Massachusetts, starting this weekend.  Steve has been the Rhode Island and Connecticut Webmaster for the last several years. His passion, dedication, and commitment to high school track & field is off the charts and he will be a perfect fit for the Bay State.

Steve's passion for this great sport goes back more than 40 years. He was a middle-distance standout for Cumberland High (RI) and the University of Alabama in the late 1970s and early 1980s. In addition to his athletic career, he was also a former sports reporter for the The Call and The Times newspapers in R.I., where his primary beat was track & cross country, two sports he also coached at the high school level.

As for me, I will be running all the Milesplit LIVE track & field events at the Reggie Lewis Center for the remainder of the season. After the winter season, I will be concentrating on coaching, preparing for the 2017 BRC X-C Camp, and spending time with my four kids. I want to thank all the coaches for a fun five years. Hope to see you around the oval.

You can contact Steve Mazzone at SMazzone5@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Chuck Martin
